Our Story
The world doesn’t necessarily need more "stuff," but it can always use more beauty and intention. Our journey began with a simple question from our founder, Megan: How do we justify creating something new in a world of mass production? The answer was found in the intricate, forgotten gears of the past. Megan started this business as a mission in "green" design—taking antique pocket watch parts and natural stones and giving them a modern, wearable purpose.
We are fascinated by the "bones" of old world machinery—the tiny brass cogs, the balance wheels, and the escapements that once kept the world on time. By pairing these rigid, precision-engineered metal parts with the raw, organic energy of natural crystals, we create a contrast that feels both futuristic and ancient.
What started as Megan’s solo passion has grown into a collaborative studio. Today, Megan is joined by Joe and Liz, two artists who share her "like-minded" obsession for detail and creative preservation.

Giving Time a Second Life
Megan
Owner, Creative Director, Artist
At age 11 I decided to take my beading skills public and go into business for myself. Back then, I chose the name Starry Night Jewelry based on my favorite Van Gogh painting. Over the years my design skills changed and evolved quite a bit. I tried everything from peyote-stitch pouches and loom weaving to elastic wristbands, and from hand-rolled sculpey beads to hand-lacquered fall leaves. Then one day, a new idea clicked: antique watches + natural stones. Voila!
Wire-wrapping has been my focus lately, and I enjoy developing complicated new ways to join metal and stone through wrapping alone. It's important to me preserve the integrity of the antique timepieces that I work with by not gluing, cutting, or soldering.
When Liz and Joe joined the business in 2025, we decided to refresh the business with a new name! That's when Starry Night turned into Precious Little Time.

Joe
Production Director, Artist
A true Minnesota native, born across the street from Matt's Bar in Minneapolis. Joe is a sensitive, goofy, creative soul jammed into a dashing mechanic's body. When he is not painting miniature figurines, or cross stitching a full cover portrait, he is bopping around with his two children, Isaac and Sophia. His favorite quotes are:
"The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile universe" - Albert Einstein
"I don't know, if I knew, I'd know, you know?" - Theodore Capitani von Kurnatowski III

Liz
Marketing Director, Artist
Liz was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she now lives with her unruly cat in a house smaller than your closet. She is often traveling to foreign lands, and searching for the next weird and wonderful thing. She loves designing quirky and unique jewelry.
